Mandatory Competencies Modules
- Managing Aggressive Behaviours
- Infection Control & Communicable Diseases
- Manual Handling
- Workplace Health and Safety & Fire Safety Annual Training
These on-line modules provide nurses with the opportunity to complete their annual mandatory competencies in the comfort of their own home, and at the pace that is most convenient to them. All modules can be accessed for an upfront minimal cost of $30 per module.
Oxley members who successfully complete the modules will be entitled to partial reimbursement (conditions apply).
The modules will provide participants with an update on current practice and increase understanding of the regulations and compliance standards. Obligations and duty of care for all situations will be investigated, along with hazard identification and risk minimisation.
Each successfully completed module will earn 2 Continue Nursing Education Points (CNE) as
part of the Royal College of Nursing Lifelong leanring Program. You will also receive a Certificate of Attainment for each module which has been endorsed by APEC No 050422109 as authorised by the Royal College of Nursing, Australia, according to approve criteria.
Reimbursement of course costs for completion of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid by an approved provider can be claimed by Oxley members. It would be appreciated if applications to attend a training course could be received at least 4 weeks prior to the commencement of the program.
